Nicolas Cage Simulator
This project was initially created as a text-based adventure game project for the Game Development for Designers course at USC School of Cinematic arts, and later expanded for the Survey of Interactive Media course.
I personally don't find text-based adventures very fun due to their lack of replay value, so when I was assigned a text based adventure project I set out to make a text-based adventure I would find fun. My goals were to create something unhinged and loosely based on Nicolas Cage and his various films.
About a month later, I was tasked with asking a question about interactive media and answering it with an interactive project. A question I found interesting was "Are text-based adventures ever fully complete? Or could they technically continue for as long as you want to work on them?" So I decided to expand this project and nearly double its size.
The initial project contains 90 game states, 22 endings, and 3 love interests. The final project contains 150 game states, 48 endings, and 6 love interests. Enjoy!
